Jennifer Andrea Duda, RD
Jennifer possesses extensive expertise as a registered dietitian and nutrition specialist, accumulating over 20 years of experience in the fields of clinical nutrition. Her qualifications and background enable her to effectively support individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals. Jennifer obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Connecticut's Department of Allied Health, specifically within the Coordinated Dietetics Program. This program included a dietetic internship that provided her with valuable hands-on experience in nutrition patient care. She is a certified Registered Dietitian, having successfully completed the registration exam administered by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
Jennifer began her career as a clinical dietitian in various hospitals and long- term care facilities, helping patients manage chronic conditions such as digestive disorders, diabetes, heart disease, and weight loss. In the early stages of her career, she also established a private practice that lasted 17 years, which eventually became her primary focus and thrived successfully. Jennifer specialized in weight loss and offered extensive bariatric nutrition knowledge to bariatric patients. She conducted nutrition evaluations necessary for surgery clearance for several bariatric surgeons. Additionally, Jennifer provided counseling to patients with a wide range of health conditions. Unfortunately, her practice had to close due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Currently, as part of Nautical Nutrition Services, Jennifer focuses her efforts on helping individuals effectively manage chronic health conditions through the development of customized nutrition plans tailored to their unique needs. She is deeply committed to empowering her clients to achieve their health and wellness goals, believing firmly in a natural approach to nutrition that encompasses both physical and emotional well-being. Jennifer advocates for a balanced, sustainable approach to dietary habits, working closely with clients to create realistic and achievable long- term nutrition goals that can be maintained over time.
