About Me
Jen Shawgo’s interest in nutrition began when she was able to use diet and lifestyle changes in her own health journey while managing two autoimmune conditions. This experience fueled her passion for helping others lead healthier, more balanced lives. Her personal health journey showed her firsthand how nutrition and lifestyle adjustments could have a powerful impact on overall well-being, sparking her desire to empower others to make sustainable changes in their own lives.
Her training in Medical Nutrition Therapy allows her to support clients with a variety of conditions, including hypothyroidism and autoimmune disorders. She also loves to help people with disease prevention, healthy aging, and overall wellness. Jen has a particular passion for helping clients break free from the “all or nothing” mentality, believing that progress, not perfection, is the key to long-term success. She encourages clients to build consistent habits rather than aiming for unrealistic perfection, emphasizing that if you slip up or get sidetracked, the best approach is to simply try again!
Jen believes that all people deserve personalized nutritional care and practices with a balanced, holistic approach. She finds fulfillment in guiding clients to create sustainable health changes that fit their lifestyles, making positive transformations manageable and rewarding.
Jen graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from Sonoran University of Health Sciences and holds certifications as a Board-Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN).
Jen is a self-proclaimed foodie, dog lover, and plant enthusiast. She enjoys spending time outdoors, snuggling her three dachshunds, and loves sharing quality moments with friends and family. If visiting different Disney parks could be a career, she’d be first in line!
