About

Hi there — I'm Alexa Nichols, a dedicated Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN). My journey to becoming a dietitian began with my own recovery from disordered eating during my teenage years. The compassionate guidance of my dietitian inspired a lasting passion for helping others find peace with food and body image.

I'm drawn to this work because I believe that every person deserves to live a life free from the constraints of disordered eating and negative body image. I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of a supportive, non-judgmental approach, and I'm committed to providing that same care to my clients.

My specialties include eating disorders, disordered eating, and intuitive eating. Together, we will slow things down, challenge all-or-nothing thinking, and build habits that last. My weight-neutral approach is rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, and individualized care tailored to each person's unique journey. I move at a pace that feels right for the client, celebrating wins along the way because recovery is not easy but worth it!

In our sessions, we'll work together to challenge food rules, explore fear foods, and rebuild a trusting relationship with yourself and your body. I want clients to leave our work together with sustainable eating habits, body acceptance, and confidence to help them step away from diet culture.

As a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from The University of Delaware, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my work. I'm committed to creating a safe, supportive space for individuals from all backgrounds and identities. When I'm not working, you can find me doing crossword puzzles, watching romantic comedies, or spending my summers at the Jersey Shore.
