About Me
Alison Unger's interest in nutrition started in high school and has since developed over the years to include diabetes management and community health. As a mother to two young children, she understands some of the challenges that may face families with busy schedules when planning out meals. She will work with you as a team to find a meal plan that meets your needs and preferences. She is passionate about mindful eating and will provide you with sensible, practical tips to work towards your goals.
Alison graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a minor in Psychology from the University of Delaware. As she expanded her career, she received a Master’s degree of Public Health with Community Health Concentration from Montclair State University and certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Alison has served as program coordinator for a nationally accredited diabetes education program. As a Registered Dietitian, she has conducted cooking classes as well presented on countless topics including weight management, diabetes, and healthy eating for children and adults. Alison’s background can support clients with a variety of conditions such as diabetes, pre-diabetes, bariatric surgery, cardiovascular disease, nutrition during pregnancy, and disease prevention/wellness.
