About Me
Allison has been a dietitian for the past decade working in hospitals where she specialized in the ICU and oncology units. For the past three years she has been a short-term contract dietitian traveling to hospitals throughout the country, most notably, University of New Mexico, and Johns Hopkins University. She graduated with her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from Texas Woman’s University, where she also completed her dietetic internship with a concentration in clinical nutrition in Denton, TX.
Since starting her own practice, Allison has really enjoyed getting to know her clients, building a professional and working relationship with them and watching them succeed in their nutrition goals! Due to most of her training and experience being in the hospital, she specializes in many areas of nutrition including pre-diabetes, diabetes, cancer, kidney disease and more. She likes to follow a non-diet approach to nutrition, with her overall objectives to help you meet your goals and to achieve “nutrition intuition.” Her focus is to help you obtain long lasting results and believes all of her clients have the right to be able to eat the foods that they enjoy and make them feel their best without having nutrition be an everyday concern.
Allison is a member of the LGTBQIA+ community and an ally to the Black Lives Matter movement. She is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive environment where all feel welcome.
Allison's love for nutrition has led her to the joy of helping clients thrive and go from suffering, pain or worry, to having peace of mind, confidence and greater quality of life. Her intention of creating a private practice is to provide a gold standard level of care and compassion to all who desire to improve their well-being through nutrition.
