About
Amber Denmon always had an interest in food. As a child, she often found herself reading food labels to see what ingredients were used, even though she had never heard of a dietitian. When she went to college, she enrolled in the Academic Exploration Program (also known as Undeclared). In an introduction to public speaking class, she met someone who was studying to become a dietitian. It was like a light bulb clicked on because she suddenly knew exactly what she wanted to do when she grew up.
Amber earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Mansfield University and a Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo.
Amber started her career in her dream job, cruising the aisles of the grocery store as a retail dietitian! In that role, she developed in-store and community nutrition programs and offered free nutrition counseling. It was the perfect fit because she had both clients and food to teach with right at her fingertips. Amber loves leading cooking demonstrations and sharing simple kitchen tricks that can be game changers for clients’ long-term goals.
Amber enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family. As a mother, quick and healthy meals are very important to her, and she has a deeper understanding of wanting something convenient, but delicious for her family.
