About Me

Angela grew up in a community without access to fresh food, proper nutrition, or fitness facilities, that some would consider a food desert. Instead of feeling pessimistic and aggravated by her surroundings, she used these problematic conditions as inspiration. Her passion for food science and nutrition began at an early age when she attended one of her mother's nutrition classes. She realized that obtaining her Master's in Public Health (MPH) encompasses her passion for her community, her background in food science, and her interest in nutrition. She is captivated with the nutritional aspect of public health and aspires to utilize her experiences to work with children, advocate for nutrition, and to give back to her community.

Angela pursued a Bachelor's in Food Science due to her passion for cooking and desire to learn more about food. She obtained her MPH from University of Michigan where she specialized in Dietetics. Upon graduating, she completed her Dietetic Internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI specializing in clinical nutrition therapy.

She supports her clients by utilizing a comprehensive approach to identify barriers that hinder clients from achieving their goals. She helps clients set realistic, achievable goals to reach their nutrition outcomes.

Her ultimate goal in studying public health is to create a non-profit organization that provides children and families in low-income communities with access to wholesome food and nutrition education.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exercising, weight-lifting, and fellow shipping with friends and family.
