About Me
Angela’s passion for nutrition was shaped by her upbringing in both Japan and the U.S., where she developed an early appreciation for the ways culture influences food and health. This curiosity led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Washington, followed by a Master of Science from Bastyr University. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of New Hampshire, where she focused on sustainable food systems and health promotion.
Since becoming a Registered Dietitian in 2013, Angela has worked in outpatient primary care, community health, and with veteran populations. She specializes in pediatric and adult weight management, diabetes care, and chronic health conditions, with a strong emphasis on culturally inclusive nutrition. As a HAES-aligned and eating disorder-informed professional, she believes in a holistic, client-centered approach that fosters body acceptance and sustainable behavior change. She enjoys helping clients explore their "food story," build a positive relationship with food, and develop personalized strategies to support their health and well-being.
