About Me
My love for nutrition started at a young age working in my father's grocery store, eventually graduating high school and heading to culinary school which was short lived as I was unsure of my path in life at that time. After completing a degree in marine biology and taking a job in a restaurant, I eventually came to realize my true passion had always been food and nutrition but had finally figured out which route I was meant to take. I packed up all of my belongings and made the long drive from New Jersey to Arizona to complete my education and dietetic internship at Arizona State University where I graduate with my Master's in Nutritional Science.
After graduating, I was lucky enough to take an outpatient counseling job where I had experience with a wide variety of patients including but not limited to weight loss, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, bariatric surgery and more. I eventually moved on to take a position at Mayo Clinic hospital systems where I was again fortunate to gain experience in both enteral and parenteral nutrition but hone my outpatient skills further, being trained and educating patients with cancer, kidney and liver disease, GI conditions, and many more medical diagnoses.
As I've worked with various populations to help them achieve their nutrition goals, I find that it always comes back to making the goals achievable for each individual and making practical recommendations that they can implement with a busy schedule. I understand the importance of needing balanced, easy to prepare meals as I am a mom of three (4 years and under) and working multiple jobs. I would love to take my experience and help others find food freedom and with less guilt and more empowerment in the nutrition choices they make each day.
