About Me
I have a background in both psychology and nutrition, and I have a strong interest in how food and nutrition can interact with both our emotional and physical wellbeing. My clients can expect a thorough discussion of their lifestyle and background as a whole to inform our goals and approach. I do not like to provide standard meal plans, as I like to work with my clients to come up with meal patterns and foods that will fit their individual needs and allow for flexibility as we all know how hectic and unpredictable life can be. Once goals are set and strategies identified to achieve these goals, future sessions are based on reviewing progress, identifying roadblocks and/or major successes, and adjusting the plan from there as a collaborative process.
I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2016, and during that time I have worked with people ranging in age from 2-105 in settings including hospitals, long term care and outpatient counseling. I have experience helping people with weight management, cardiac disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, respiratory disease, GI issues, and food allergies as well as pre- and post-natal nutrition and picky eating or failure to thrive in children. However, my passion is helping people who struggle with body image and disordered eating work toward a more accepting and positive relationship with food and their body through individualized nutrition counseling.
