About

Cassidy Axelrod, MS, CNS, is a board-certified nutritionist with a background in psychology and advanced training in functional and integrative nutrition. She specializes in digestive health, hormonal balance, and mental and emotional well-being, with a deep understanding of how the gut, brain, hormones, and nervous system influence one another.

Cassidy holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oregon and an M.S. in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Her approach blends evidence-based therapeutic nutrition with nutritional psychology, stress physiology, and nervous system–informed care.

Her work is shaped by both her clinical training and her own healing journey through Celiac disease, autoimmune thyroid dysfunction, anxiety, PMDD, and periods of grief and dysregulation. These experiences fuel her commitment to root-cause, whole-person healing and to creating a compassionate, validating space for clients - one that extends beyond food and nutrition.

Cassidy is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating chronic digestive issues, hormone-related symptoms, PMS/PMDD, PCOS, thyroid and autoimmune conditions, anxiety and depression, ADHD tendencies, stress dysregulation, fatigue, and early-stage metabolic challenges. She helps clients gain clarity, rebuild trust in their bodies, and develop sustainable strategies that honor both science and lived experience.

She works best with clients who are motivated, curious, and engaged in their healing, those seeking a functional, holistic, root-cause approach, and those wanting to understand the “why” behind their symptoms.

Outside of work, Cassidy enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, camping, beach days, pilates, yoga, and spending time with loved ones and her two cats.
