About

Claire is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in eating disorder and disordered eating recovery, Intuitive Eating, and an anti-diet approach to nutrition. She believes all people deserve to have a healthy, balanced relationship with food, movement, and their bodies.

Claire earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Food Science at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, followed by completing her graduate degree and dietetic internship at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. Claire’s interest in the anti-diet approach, Intuitive Eating, and eating disorder recovery began in her dietetic internship program, where she was fortunate to do a rotation with an eating disorder treatment center. It was incredibly rewarding to be a part of the recovery process and to see all foods become a healing tool. The highly individualized approach to care and the relationship that the dietitian was able to foster with each client really resonated with her.

Claire employs the principles of Intuitive Eating in her individualized work with clients and takes a Health At Every Size (HAES®) aligned approach to nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy. She believes each client is the expert of their own body, and she enjoys being able to walk alongside them on their journey. In addition to working with clients in private practice, Claire has served as the primary dietitian for PHP and IOP level eating disorder treatment programs and has worked as a clinical dietitian in the acute care hospital setting.

Being from Louisiana and having grown up spending time in the kitchen with family, Claire recognizes the important role food has in culture, connection, and community. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping with her husband and dog, Bear. She is a new mom to a little girl and can’t wait to share her love of food and cooking with her daughter. Claire hopes to share her passion for food and movement with others through her work.
