About Me
Debbie's passion for nutrition started when her scale tipped 210 lbs and her biomarkers were going in the wrong direction. She was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroid Disease, CIRS, and struggled with hormone health. Through dietary and lifestyle changes, she achieved her health goals and has maintained them throughout the different stages in her life.
Many people approached Debbie to ask for advice on how they could achieve similar goals. As a result, in 2014, she changed her career path, going back to school to earn her double Masters with honors in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health (2016), and Master of Science Health Sciences from The George Washington University in Integrative Medicine (2018) where she was also inducted into the Alpha Eta Society and earned a nomination for their Outstanding Student Award. After working as a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach for a few years, Debbie completed Organic Chemistry, Nutritional Biochemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology in 2022 so that she could sit for the ANA's CNS Board Exam, which she passed in 2023.
Debbie's training in Medical Nutrition Therapy allows her to support clients with a wide range of conditions, but she is most passionate about supporting those going through the menopause transition, struggling with pre-diabetes/Type II diabetes, cardio metabolic dysfunction/cardiovascular disease, GI conditions, CIRS, autoimmunity, and weight loss (including GLP-1 support). Debbie's passion for these areas come from personal experience, as well as from understanding the interconnectedness of biochemistry and physiology of these conditions. She firmly believes in educating her clients on the "why" and building connection with "how" so they can achieve their health goals.
Debbie's mission is to be a small stone that creates a ripple in the water.
