About Me

Debbie’s interest in nutrition began in high school. As a gymnast she developed an interest in nutrition and how it related to health and performance. She attended the University of Delaware and was accepted into the coordinated dietetics program. She completed her dietetics internship while completing her last two years of undergraduate education. After graduation, she obtained her registration credential and began working as a clinical dietitian in a small, inner-city hospital in Trenton, NJ. Her focus was Oncology, diabetes, maternal-fetal health and general health. In addition to her hospital work, she contracted with a local HMO to provide group weight loss counseling and a long-term care facility for nutrition assessment for elderly clients. Debbie believed in getting experience with as many client populations as possible to further enhance her counseling skills and understanding of medical and mental-health conditions that would affect nutrition status. Debbie was recruited into Johnson &Johnson for her food science and diabetes education experience to assist with customer support as they launched a new, no-calorie sweetener. Once within J&J, Debbie applied to and graduated from Rider University with an MBA. During her tenure with J&J she held various positions that included making decisions for continuing medical education funding for health care professionals and providing customer support in the medical information call center. Debbie’s passion is helping people set and achieve nutrition goals and to help build self-confidence and self-efficacy no matter the situation. Her flexibility and compassion will work to help you feel confident in your ability to meet your nutrition goals.
