About
Hey there! I’m Ellie: current Pediatric Dietitian and Chef of over a decade. I graduated from Nicholls State Louisiana twice! Once with my Associates in Culinary Sciences, and again with my Bachelors of Science for my Dietetics career. While I still dabble in kitchens, both personally and professionally, I have been a licensed practicing Dietitian for over two years now. I transitioned from Chef to Dietitian in part due to my time spent at Camp Round Up River Ranch in Gypsum Colorado. It is a Paul Newman Serious Fun camp that allows children with various illnesses and handicaps to have a complete summer camp experience. (Look them up if you have the time! Incredible work!) Through these experiences, I understand food isn't just "fuel" for our physical body, but an emotional, sociological, and psychological factor that plays a role in some of our biggest celebrations, achievements, and hardest days. Though a Pediatric Dietitian by trade, I have experience working with adults in both an inpatient and outpatient settings.
My ideal clients are adult athletes, families, children, teens, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to guide clients on how to fuel their athletic activities and work with families or individuals in meeting their nutrition and training goals.
When I’m not working, you can find me doing jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts, weightlifting, and going to local metal shows here in New Orleans. I look forward to working with you.
