Ellen Cottone is a dietitian whose specialties include, but are not limited to, diabetes, weight concerns, chronic kidney disease and dialysis nutrition, heart disease, mental health nutrition, and disordered eating. Ellen has twenty five years of experience as a dietitian and is a Certified Diabetes Education and Care Specialist (CDCES). She earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nutrition from Rutgers University and completed her Dietetic Internship at Saint Elizabeth University. In addition, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lafayette College.

Ellen is committed to debunking nutrition myths and combating diet culture. Her passion for psychology inspires her to help clients identify what motivates them and to create new, sustainable habits that will lead to long term results. Ellen recognizes that each person is unique, and requires a nutrition plan that is individualized to his or her needs. As a mentor and educator, Ellen helps her clients to understand food and their bodies, and to set small goals that yield lasting changes. Her approach can be described as collaborative, supportive, and empowering.

In her free time, Ellen enjoys cooking, dancing, exercising, reading, volunteering with dogs, watching movies and spending time with her family, friends, and two cats.
