About
“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one that you are living.” - Joseph Campbell. For me, following my bliss led me to the field of nutrition, and I couldn’t be happier about it! Originally from Northeast Ohio, I moved to Colorado in 2014 to snowboard, explore the mountains, and pursue becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics (2018), Dietetic Internship (2020), and Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics (2021), all at Metropolitan State University of Denver. My love for Colorado’s backcountry sports led to graduate research on macronutrient needs and energy balance in backcountry athletes. Now, I use that knowledge to help adventurers fuel smarter for performance and safety in the wild. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including higher education, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, sports nutrition, and private practice, and have experience counseling a wide variety of individuals and families throughout their lifespan. I focus on an integrative approach to nutrition for disease prevention, longevity, and happiness! I’m passionate about food and nutrition and believe that, along with providing nourishment, eating can be a fun and enjoyable experience that plays a vital role in health and wellness. Whether it’s helping manage a chronic condition or building a healthy relationship with food or body image, I provide individualized, client-focused counseling for a broad range of nutrition-related concerns or goals.
