About

I first fell in love with nutrition as a young girl who simply loved to be in the kitchen, whether that be helping my mom cook supper or my Memaw cook Christmas dinner for 30+ family members. That love for nutrition and food blossomed when I went to college and realized I could fit all my hobbies into one career. Since graduating, I have been fortunate to have experience in a variety of backgrounds, ranging from menu writing to kidney disease.

a Southerner, I understand the strong connection of food to our culture. Food can be powerful; it can bring families together or bring different cultures together, but it can also have negative impacts on your health like high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, or weight gain. Born and raised in the South, I know how hard it can be to balance a budget, good food, and healthy choices. In our world of information overload, especially with nutrition, it can be overwhelming when you try to make healthier choices, either for you or your family. Maybe you're trying to lose some weight for an event or trip or maybe you are just concerned about your latest lab results at your diabetes check-up, let me help you feel better!
