About Me

While I have been a dietitian for over a decade, my journey with food begins long before that. I have been passionate about food for as long as I can remember, watching the Food Network after elementary school and trying my own (often disastrous) recipes in the kitchen. When I wasn't experimenting in kitchen I was probably running around somewhere on a soccer field. In late high school I started to connect the fact that how I fueled could affect my soccer performance and an interest in nutrition was born.

I attended the University of Missouri - Columbia and got a degree in medical dietetics. And while I continued to find the science of nutrition fascinating, I also began to notice more and more misinformation in society about what is actually true about food, nutrition, and health. This led me down a path of working with those who struggle with eating disorders and working as a dietitian at an eating disorder treatment center for several years. During that time I solidified my passion for helping people heal from disordered eating and discover both the power of nutrition and the joy that food can bring to our lives.

In 2018 I started my own private practice where I specialize in helping clients struggling with an eating disorder, athletes looking to harness the power of nutrition without falling into obsession, and anyone who simply wants to heal their relationship with food and body. When I’m not working I’m likely spending time with my husband & babies, wishing I had time to read the latest book on my Kindle, or trying a restaurant in my hometown of St. Louis, MO.
