About
Emma grew surrounded by and observing women who were navigating diets and beauty standards that had been acting against them for years. She recognized that this was only being passed down between generations, and the understanding of how food supports and connects us was being lost. She hit the books and began training in Medical Nutrition Therapy with a special interest in supporting Black women due to the historical lack of access to and representation in healthcare settings.
Emma believes that because our health is deeply shaped by the world around us, our relationship with food should honor our lived experience. She practices from a place of compassion, and empower client's to find the combination of culture, memory, comfort, and connection to food that can sustain wellbeing.
Emma graduated with a Master's of Science in Human Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Outside of nutrition counseling, Emma enjoys puzzles and board games.
