Welcome! I am Flower Aston, a registered dietitian (since 2006), food enthusiast, and dedicated nutrition professional who is passionate about helping clients achieve their health goals.
My counseling culture is centered on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. I have dedicated my career to staying informed on the latest research and have nutrition expertise in areas such as, preventative health, heart health, metabolic disease, reactive hypo-glycemia, insulin resistance/pre-diabetes, diabetes self-management, weight management/weight loss, PCOS, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, food allergies/intolerances, and nutrition during pregnancy and lactation to name a few. I am passionate about helping my clients develop a healthier relationship with food and achieve their health goals through personalized nutrition.
Qualifications:
Work Experience: private practice owner, director of dietitians, in-patient, out-patient, diabetes educator, and community dietitian at various clinic/hospitals in Idaho and Montana
Additional Training: The Park Nicollet International Diabetes Center Team Management of Diabetes program
Education: Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, Food and Nutrition/Dietetics, University of Idaho
Dietetic Internship: Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane WA
