About Me
Glenys specializes in health and positive behavior change, not weight goals, and in helping people heal from disordered relationships with eating caused by a lifetime of diet culture.
A sustainable and enjoyable relationship to food is a necessary foundation for all medical nutrition therapy, including Glenys’ areas of expertise: binge eating disorders (BED), mindless/emotional/compulsive eating, chronic dieting and disordered eating recovery, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), diabetes and pre-diabetes, and heart health.
Glenys practices an anti-diet, Health at Every Size philosophy because she has seen first-hand how people thrive when they leave the scale behind and take a positive – not restrictive – approach to eating and self-care. She provides individualized, evidence-based nutrition therapy that supports her clients' expertise of their own bodies. Glenys welcomes clients ready to commit time and effort to their own health and well-being.
Glenys graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from San Francisco State University, completed her internship with the VA of Greater Los Angeles and has worked in a variety of settings involving complex medical conditions and eating disorders. She enjoys being outside, being near or in the ocean, reading and writing.
