About

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from La Salle University, completing my dietetic internship, becoming a Registered Dietitian, and healing from my own food and body struggles, I knew I wanted to utilize my career to help others break free from the harsh rules of diet culture and tune in to their own bodies’ unique needs. I strive to help my clients make empowered decisions about their health and well-being, whether they are struggling with disordered eating, an eating disorder, high cholesterol, elevated blood sugars, or general nutrition and health concerns. I do this in part by helping clients explore their relationships to food and their bodies, which are often complex and unexamined.

I am also passionate about helping my clients embrace their cultural foods, which have too often been demonized by diet culture or even well-meaning healthcare providers or family members. Being second-generation American, I grew up influenced by American culture and by the Puerto Rican and Dominican cultures passed down to me through my family. So I understand how our cultural foods can not only provide physical nourishment, but also emotional and social nourishment.

In addition to nutrition counseling, I am an established health and nutrition writer. My work has appeared in Well+Good, EatingWell, SELF, Health.com, Outside, and more.
