About

Jackie is a Registered Dietitian with a background in teaching and conceptual creativity, focused on strengthening the relationship between health and food. She uses a non-diet, holistic approach to education and counseling in order to promote positive and sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes aimed toward lifelong health.

Drawing on her diverse experience with medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition, culinary education, art education, strength training, and over 15 years of making vegetarian meals, she thrives on helping clients make informed food choices in line with their goals and health conditions. Taking this a step further, she also teaches mindful and intuitive eating practices to help clients integrate balanced nutrition into their daily lives.

As food is very personal, playing a role in our well being physically, emotionally, and even spiritually, it is Jackie’s goal as a counselor to provide a safe, weight inclusive space for clients to explore their relationship with food, including how other factors such as activity, sleep, medications, and mental health can affect and be affected by nutrition.

Jackie received her Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Drexel University. She also has Bachelor and Master degrees in Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time Jackie enjoys cooking, gardening, going to the beach, making artwork, powerlifting, and watching sci-fi shows with her partner and their cats.
