About

Hey there! I'm Jenny Littau, registered dietitian and founder of my virtual private practice A Balanced Life Rx. For nearly a decade, I have provided individualized nutrition coaching where I specialize in preventive nutrition and promote overall health and well-being. My focus as your dietitian nutrition coach is to learn about you and using that understanding to build customized, realistic, sustainable; and meaningful behavior changes that align with you, your lifestyle goals, and importantly make you feel good! It is important to me that we work as a team and together we will adjust and align practical strategies that will be suitable for you and your unique needs. My sessions are focused, supportive, and always actionable. You'll leave each coaching session knowing exactly what to focus on, why those actionable steps matter and a plan for when we will follow up to help you stay accountable.

My dietitian journey started about 15 years ago when I was well into my career as a Certified Personal Trainer. During this time I had the pleasure to work with all types of people at all stages in their personal journey towards living a healthy lifestyle. At this point, I realized that one couldn’t underestimate the important role of nutrition and proper diet in achieving their health and personal goals. In order to better assist my personal training clients, I wanted to pursue a career in nutrition. It was important to me to understand the science of nutrition and share it with those who wanted to improve their health. So, I went on and completed my Master of Science in Dietetics through Eastern Michigan University, graduating with honors.

When I'm not busy doing all things nutrition, you can find me outside in nature soaking up the sun, taking a heated vinyasa yoga class, lifting weights in my garage, riding my peloton bike, playing with my two girls, planning our next RV trip with my husband (we hope to check out Cuyahoga National Park next), or lounging on the couch watching BRAVO housewives with Misty May, one of my two Weimaraner girls.
