About Me

Joia first became interested in nutrition in college while recovering from nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances, disordered eating patterns, anxiety, and depression. When standard medical help started to fall flat, she began educating herself on how to improve her own health through nutrition and lifestyle changes. After an engineering career, she decided to go back to school to pursue her passion of helping others improve their health holistically. Joia is particularly passionate about hormone health, perinatal health, metabolic health, and mental health due to her personal experiences as well as the impact she has been able to have with her clients in these areas. She loves providing education and empowerment around female hormones and the menstrual cycle, fertility awareness, and blood sugar regulation. Joia enjoys working with clients in the fertility, pregnancy and postpartum phases of life because of the importance of nutrition during these times to optimize critical phases of development for a healthy future generation, as well as nurture the mother's body for a smoother healing process and transition.

Joia believes that everyone deserves nutrition care and practices with a non-judgemental, personalized, and realistic approach. She feels eating well should be fun, satisfying, delicious, and easy - not stressful, complicated or restrictive.
