About Me
Joy is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Mental Health Counselor passionate about the powerful connection between nutrition and mental wellbeing. Her interest in nutrition began when she noticed how energized and balanced, she felt after eating more fruits and vegetables; a simple shift that sparked a deeper curiosity about how food impacts both physical and mental health. She believes that nourishing the body and mind together is key to achieving optimal health and lasting lifestyle change.
Joy has experience supporting individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, gastrointestinal issues, eating disorders, and weight management challenges. With a background in both nutrition and mental health, Joy brings a unique, integrated perspective to her work, recognizing the emotional and psychological factors that often influence eating habits and overall wellbeing. She takes a client-centered and compassionate approach, tailoring her guidance to each person’s unique lifestyle, culture, and mindset. Joy works collaboratively with clients to explore their relationship with food, set practical goals, and overcome barriers, with a mission to empower them to build a balanced and joyful connection with eating.
Joy holds a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Florida International University and is committed to providing supportive, evidence-based care. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, and anything outdoors, which keeps her grounded and fuels her holistic approach to wellbeing.
