About

I have over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. I have worked with developmentally vulnerable populations, children, high risk pregnancy, and most recently in telehealth. I have a teacher's heart and love educating people on nutrition issues important to them. I have worked with and educated WIC families, low income families using SNAP benefits, patients in recovery programs, long term care residents, and in various home health situations.

I practice Motivational Interviewing, Intuitive Eating, Mindful and Intentional Eating, HAES, but most importantly, I believe in meeting my patient where they are. I practice patient-centered care with the patient directing the path. My job is to educate and steer patients in the direction of healthy choices, but not make a plan without their participation. I have experience in counseling for a variety of diagnoses, as well as knowledge of food trauma, disordered eating, and the food/mood relationship. I want to show people how to eat the foods they love but remain healthy and balanced.

My life experiences have provided me with exposure to so many diverse cultures, food, customs, beliefs, and attitudes as it relates to dietary intake.

I have never regretted my choice to be a Registered Dietitian, and, after all this time, I still love educating people on nutritious lifestyles.
