About
Karey is a Registered Dietitian dedicated to helping clients build a healthy, balanced relationship with food through a non-diet, intuitive eating approach. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, blending evidence-based nutrition with genuine compassion.
Having navigated her own experience with restrictive dieting and GI issues, Karey understands firsthand the physical and emotional harm these approaches can cause. She takes a weight-neutral approach and does not offer intentional weight loss services, embracing an "all foods fit" philosophy while recognizing when therapeutic interventions are necessary for specific health concerns.
Her practice centers on Intuitive Eating principles—helping clients recognize hunger cues, find satisfaction, and understand their emotional connections to food. Rather than relying on external rules or weight outcomes, she guides clients toward body awareness and self-trust, setting small, achievable goals along the way.
Karey especially enjoys working with individuals navigating emotional eating, GI conditions like IBS, diabetes and pre-diabetes, and PMOS (formerly PCOS). With over 10 years of experience across outpatient care, inpatient settings, dialysis nutrition, and chronic condition management, she partners with clients to make gentle, lasting changes through a Health at Every Size approach.
