About
Katie’s interest in nutrition grew from a belief that food should be enjoyed and can play a positive role in supporting health, wellness, and individual goals. As a dietitian, she enjoys encouraging and supporting clients through a non-diet approach that prioritizes practicality, balance, and sustainability.
With formal training in Medical Nutrition Therapy, Katie supports individuals with prediabetes and diabetes, including gestational diabetes, type 1 diabetes, and type 2 diabetes. In addition to chronic condition management, Katie also enjoys working with clients seeking general nutrition guidance and overall well-being. Whether you’re managing a medical condition or simply looking to feel better day to day, care is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Katie has a strong passion for nutrition education and advocacy. She believes individuals do not always receive adequate education, often leaving individuals to rely on social media or anecdotal advice. Katie aims to fill that gap by serving as a reliable, science-based resource, helping clients understand the “why” behind recommendations and feel empowered to make decisions. Ongoing support, encouragement, and accountability are central to their approach, with a focus on long-term progress rather than quick fixes.
Katie believes everyone deserves access to respectful, supportive nutrition care. Her philosophy centers on meeting clients where they are and helping each person find an individual, sustainable path toward better health, without judgment or rigid rules.
Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management, and is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
Outside of work, Katie is a wife and mom to young girls. She enjoys good food, spending time with friends and family, and hunting for the best shopping deals.
