About Me

Katie’s journey into dietetics began after earning her undergraduate degree and spending a few years in business and sales. She was drawn to change careers after realizing that nutrition had been an enduring lifelong interest. Friends and family often sought her opinion on one nutrition topic or another, so he decided to make it official. She began classes in 2014 at the University of Wisconsin. There her delight in the science and application of nutrition multiplied. Over the years she has gained expertise in supporting patients with diabetes, weight loss, general wellness, and digestive issues. She has worked with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

For the last year, Katie has been exclusively offering nutrition counseling in the telehealth space because she believes in making quality nutrition care as accessible as possible. She believes nutrition has the power to change the course of our lives. Her approach is built on curiosity and compassion. Above all, Katie works to ensure that every patient feels respected no matter where they are on their health journey.

Katie completed her Bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Texas (Hook ‘em!), the Didactic Program in Dietetics at the University of Wisconsin, and her Supervised Practice through St. Mary’s University. Katie has been trained on the use of a low FODMAP diet for IBS by Monash University.

In her free time Katie loves painting, reading, and being by the lake. When she gets the opportunity to be in the mountains, she loves to hike and mountain bike. Most of her time away from work is spent raising her twins. It’s a blast!
