About Me

Kelsy Camilo is a bilingual latina dietitian that enjoys helping people develop and nurture a healthy relationship with food and their body. She practices from a weight-inclusive, culturally inclusive, holistic lens.

While nutrition and Kelsy were always connected via the invisible string, her active pursuit in nutrition began in college while on the cross country running team. She aspired to learn how to fuel her body for optimal performance. Additionally, experiencing years of discomfort in her body size, she yearned to learn the “right way” to lose weight once and for all. Through her studies, Kelsy has discovered that health goes beyond aesthetics and that cultivating a positive relationship with food and body is a key component to healthy living.

Kelsy’s training in Medical Nutrition Therapy has led to success in helping clients manage a variety of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, kidney disease, GI disorders, disordered eating, and overall general well-being. Kelsy is also well-versed in providing individual based nutrition counseling for all age groups ranging from pediatrics to seniors.

Kelsy completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Food, and Nutrition from CUNY-Lehman College and her Dietetic Internship and Master of Science in Nutrition from Saint Elizabeth University. Being that health and wellness is very nuanced and individual-based, when collaborating with clients, Kelsy strives to to hold space for their circumstances while supporting them in fostering self-acceptance, self-trust, and self-love.

Outside of nutrition, Kelsy enjoys dancing. You may also find her at open-mics having fun as attendee in a room full of creatives or serving as an act herself, showcasing her poems or singing chops. She also appreciates uninterrupted quality time with those near and dear to her.
