About Me

Kirsten's passion for dietetics started in high school during a nutrition and wellness class taught by a Dietitian turned health teacher who discussed the role of a dietitian. She rowed boats and competed in crew both in high school and college and nutrition quickly became a cornerstone for her athletic performance and healthful recovery. During her dietetic internship in college she found her passion for wellness and sport dietetics grow into a passion for diet and disease therapy through clinical dietetics with a focus on women's health, pediatrics and neonatal nutrition. She received her bachelors of science degree from Syracuse University in 2006 and began working as a clinical dietitian at a Level II trauma center later that year. She completed an advanced practice residency in high risk infant nutrition at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. Kirsten has worked in the field of pediatric nutrition since 2008 and has been a Neonatal Dietitian for the last 13 years. Kirsten is an active speaker and presenter and participates in research and quality improvement.
