About Me
I’m Lara Clevenger, MSH, RDN, CPT a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), certified personal trainer (CPT), 5-time cookbook author, media dietitian, and spokesperson in Port Orange, Florida.
I attended Florida State University and the University of North Florida for my CADE undergraduate degree in nutrition. I completed my Master’s in Science of Nutrition from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
Over the past 13 years as a dietitian, I have worked in a wide variety of settings, including Cardiovascular ICU, Out Patient Cancer Center, Hemodialysis Clinics, and Long Term Care Facilities.
Working in a nursing home for years, I quickly realized that people do not eat enough protein, and as we age, we lose lean body mass. Eating adequate protein and staying physically active are the two main focuses of my nutritional approach, which can help prevent this.
Working together, we'll create healthy eating habits to help you reach your goals and look for the root causes of your issues with functional nutrition testing. We'll look at your day-to-day life and consider things such as sleep, stress, travel, physical activity, sunlight exposure, and more.
A little tidbit about me: I have four dogs, I love to bowl and fish, and I previously traveled the US in both a converted Sprinter van and a fifth-wheel RV.
