About Me

Growing up, bodybuilders were the picture of health for Mrs. Marks. In her mind, they were strong because they looked strong; therefore, they must have been healthy. As a result, she started weight training at age 15 and continues to do so. She has a home gym with a squat rack, weight bench, over 300 pounds in weights, and an elliptical. One would think that is enough, but she also has a gym membership for access to equipment that cannot fit in her home and in-person group classes.

She has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and has maintained a personal training certification for nearly 20 years. Through her exposure to personal training, she was introduced to information about proactively managing or preventing disease. An interest in nutrition was a natural progression.

Ultimately, Mrs. Marks obtained a Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University, then a Master of Science from Benedictine University. Her current area of interest is health analytics. Mrs. Marks believes that everyone should have access to a nutrition professional. She loves helping individuals proactively manage their health.
