About
Hi, I’m Lauren, an encouraging registered dietitian who aims to be your biggest advocate. I have a history of working in both residential and outpatient eating disorder recovery, as well as an outpatient setting for general nutrition for low-income groups.
I recognize that we as individuals don’t all operate the same way. My role is to be your “detective”. We will identify the methods that work best to achieve realistic and achievable goals for your nutritional needs, including eating disorder recovery.
My approach is therapeutic, sincere, but also straightforward when needed.
I will assist you with reframing any food morality, including ignoring many socially constructed labels such as “junk food” or “clean eating.” Together, we will find ways to find humor in the illogical reasoning of your eating disorder.
I will help you navigate the overwhelming amount of misinformation that is thrown at us and, instead, provide you with education and clear guidance.
If appropriate, we will engage in food exposures in sessions to dissect and overcome fear of the foods our bodies deserve.
I look forward to collaborating with you!
