About Me

Figuring out your nutrition may feel like you're riding a wrecking ball from rigid restriction to free-for-all. Maria's specialty is helping you find sturdy, grounded nutrition habits without restriction.

Maria's background as an educator is a hallmark of her dietetic practice, in which she welcomes you to ask questions, encourages you through challenges, and guides you through murky nutrition and health misinformation. This approach supports folks with many different situations, from fueling plans for your first half-marathon to improving your recent nutrition labs.

Maria's mission is to help you bring confidence and clarity to nutrition. Sessions are more than check-ins on what you've eaten lately; meetings with Maria include active learning opportunities [what's A1c anyway? is creatine bad for you?], building custom plans for your nutrition and lifestyle, problem-solving, and preparing for upcoming events or challenges.

Maria received her Master of Science in Human Nutrition at Drexel University in her hometown of Philadelphia and completed her dietetic internship at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she now resides. She loves taking walks with her two dogs, crafting and costuming for Mardi Gras, dancing, and weightlifting. Living in a food- and celebration-centric city like New Orleans means Maria knows how to keep nutrition and movement strategies practical, fun, and sustainable!
