About

If you’re tired of restrictive rules and "good vs. bad" food lists, you’re not alone. With so much conflicting advice out there, it’s easy to forget that you are the true expert on your own body.

I’m Marissa, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Board-Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO). I earned my Master’s in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, where I focused on the science of behavior change. My goal is to help you move away from dieting and toward a way of eating that actually honors what your body needs. I specialize in medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for preventive care and metabolic health, which means we use the science of nutrition to look at how food supports you (like your heart health, blood sugar, and energy) rather than just chasing a number on a scale.

How We’ll Work Together

Let’s start with a conversation about what you’re experiencing, including the wins and the challenges, and together we’ll find the best way to move forward. In our sessions, we’ll create goals that feel right for you and break them into practical, achievable steps.

Listening to Your Body: We’ll work on reconnecting with your natural hunger and fullness cues, so you can stop following rigid, external rules.

Focusing on Function: I like to talk about what foods do for you. We’ll move away from labeling foods as "good" or "bad" and focus on how to nourish your body effectively.

Real-Life Nutrition: Your health doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We’ll make sure your plan fits your actual life, including your schedule, your family, and your favorite foods.

Sustainable Shifts: No "quick fixes" or restrictive diets here. We focus on manageable changes that feel practical and empowering.

In addition to preventive care, I offer specialized support for Cancer Survivorship, helping you rebuild and maintain your health through evidence-based, supportive nutrition.

Whether you’re managing a medical condition or simply want to feel more at peace in your body, my goal is to make sure you feel heard, supported, and in control of your health on your own terms.
