About Me

Marsha is a highly skilled healthcare professional passionate about empowering women to achieve optimal health and well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Norfolk State University and brings a wealth of experience from her service as a proud Navy veteran. Additionally, Marsha is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Nutrition Specialist, earning her Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2019.

She also holds a certificate in the Integrative Women's Health Institute's Perimenopause/Menopause Certificate Program, highlighting her specialized focus on women’s hormonal health.

Marsha’s practice addresses women’s health issues, specializing in hormonal imbalances and menopausal health. She provides care for individuals and families, emphasizing adults and senior citizens. Marsha has advanced training in the therapeutic ketogenic diet and motivational interviewing, equipping her with the tools to deliver comprehensive, personalized care.

Her professional expertise includes roles as a Menopause Coach, Chronic Disease Manager, and Aging Life Care Professional. Marsha works with clients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, gut disorders, and menopausal symptoms, including sleep disturbances, hot flashes, mood swings, and fatigue.

Marsha’s approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and a holistic perspective. She employs a functional and integrative approach to diet and nutrition, tailoring strategies to each individual’s unique needs. She provides clients with the tools, knowledge, and resources through personalized guidance to cultivate sustainable, healthy habits that lead to lasting lifestyle changes.

A core principle of Marsha’s philosophy is that many diseases originate in the gut. She often implements personalized plans using the 5R framework for gut health to restore balance to the gut microbiome, understanding its pivotal role in overall health and hormonal regulation.

Marsha advocates for the growing recognition that nutrition profoundly impacts mental health. She emphasizes the interconnectedness of physical and mental well-being, stating, “Poor nutrition disrupts hormonal balance, saps energy, and weakens the immune system—all of which can contribute to mental health challenges. Restoring hormonal equilibrium, healing the gut, and adopting a nutritious diet can significantly benefit those facing mental health difficulties.”

Her personal experiences with gut health issues, depression, chronic pain, and migraines give her unique insights into the challenges her clients face. Marsha has successfully managed her own and her family’s chronic conditions through dietary and lifestyle changes, making her deeply empathetic to the struggles and triumphs of adopting new habits. She understands the importance of a supportive community to encourage and motivate individuals on their wellness journey.

Marsha’s compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach ensures her clients feel seen, heard, and valued as they work toward improved health and well-being.
