About Me

Merideth's interest in nutrition stems from her own recovery from a dysfunctional relationship with food & body. As a former, amateur ballet dancer and kid growing up in the '90s, she deeply understands the desire to want to look a certain way and stringently control what you eat in light of pressures from peers, social media, etc. She also understands how this desire and attempts at control can backfire and make you feel out of control, ashamed, defeated, etc. She has experienced life after recovery first-hand and for this reason, has dedicated her career to 1) helping individuals heal their relationships with food & body, and 2) helping parents break cycles and raise kids who are confident in their bodies and intuitive with their food.*

With an MS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Washington and post-graduate training as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Merideth supports clients in achieving their nutrition goals by cultivating sustainable behavior change that promotes long-term health.

Merideth is a non-diet, weight-inclusive dietitian who is committed to continually learning and upholding the pillars of Health at Every Size. She is also a parent to a young child and knows first-hand the pressures today's parents feel, especially around food choices and health. Merideth believes all bodies are good bodies, worthy of care and respect, and it's never too late to reconnect with your inner wisdom around food. She embraces the food philosophy endorsed by Ellyn Satter: "When the joy goes out of eating, nutrition suffers."

*Note: at this time, Merideth is not working with clients who have active eating disorders, as defined by the DSM-V.
