About Me
Mitzi is a bilingual and weight neutral latina dietitian dedicated to helping individuals heal and improve their relationship with food and their body so they can achieve health. Mitzi's goal is to create a welcoming and empathetic environment for her clients, where they feel safe and supported as they work towards their health-related goals.
Mitzi’s training in Medical Nutrition Therapy supports a variety of individuals including those with conditions such as: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, constipation, and disordered eating. Additionally, Mitzi is passionate about helping individuals work towards disease prevention and overall well-being.
Some of Mitzi’s dearest memories of growing up in Mexico are the moments she spent around the table with her entire family, where the shared enjoyment of their traditional foods was a source of joy for all of them. However, as time passed, her relationship with food took a different turn. Enjoyment faded, and concerns about every bite took over. She found herself in an unhealthy dynamic with food and her body, which hurt her view of life, interactions with others, and how she saw herself. Thankfully, she healed this relationship and wants to help others do the same. Mitzi believes that by healing our relationship with food and our bodies, we’ll regain the energy to care for ourselves and truly enjoy life. Our 'yes' to healing can positively impact us and those near us and shape the lives of our future generations.
Mitzi graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University, complemented by a dietetic internship at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL. In her free time, Mitzi enjoys traveling to picturesque towns, drinking delicious coffee, taking pictures, and finding treasures while thrifting.
