About
Born and raised in the innovative food town of Portland, Oregon, I've been a lifelong enthusiast of all things food. I took my first steps to a sippy cup as a toddler. I experiment-baked into the wee hours of the night in high school as a way of coping with stress. I started my own catering company in college, and on any given Sunday, you’re likely to find me wandering through a local farmers market. Running parallel to this deep love for food and flavor was always a profound appreciation and respect for nutrition.
For me, this journey is deeply personal. Like many women, I grew up bearing the heavy weight of society’s expectations. I felt like my appearance, career, relationships, and body needed to be perfect. I found that I was setting incredibly high standards for myself and not giving myself an ounce of grace when I couldn’t meet them. I found myself so caught up in a life of “shoulds” that my body’s own voice got lost in the chatter.
Reclaiming satisfaction with myself as the happily-and-utterly-imperfect human that I am has been a lifelong endeavor and has been deeply connected to my education and practice as a nutritionist. With a master's degree in Food Science & Nutrition and technical training as a Registered Dietitian, I combine my love of food with an extensive understanding of human physiology. I believe in a holistic, non-judgmental, and evidence-based approach to food and wellness, where your body gets to be the captain of your ship.
My philosophy is simple: I believe nourishing your body should be a joyful experience. Food should taste good, and it should leave you feeling satisfied.
In my practice, I invite you to leave judgment and high expectations at the door. I will challenge you to forget restrictive diets and complicated meal plans. Instead, we’ll work together to create, assemble, and choose flavorful meals that you'll genuinely look forward to eating. My goal is to help every client heal their relationship with food by sparking joy in all aspects of their lives.
Ultimately, I want to help you feel safe and at home in your body—to feel in tune with what's going on inside and to feel confident in your choices.
