About

I’m Nikki Doering, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 14 years of experience and the owner of Guilt-Free Fork, a private practice dedicated to helping women break free from toxic diet cycles and build a more peaceful, sustainable relationship with food.

I believe nutrition should support your life and not add stress. My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based guidance, and personalized care, so you can feel confident, nourished, and in tune with your body. Whether you’re looking to improve health markers, support gut health, increase energy, balance your mood, or simply feel more at ease around food, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I also bring firsthand experience supporting nutrition for concussion and post-concussion syndrome recovery, having gone through that journey myself. Together, we’ll unlearn harmful dieting patterns and create an approach to nutrition that actually works for your real life.

My signature 12-week Guilt-Free Fork Support Program is designed to help you step out of the diet cycle for good. Through one-on-one support, individualized nutrition guidance, and a strong focus on mindset, you’ll learn how to meet your health goals without calorie counting or food tracking. We will focus on building habits that truly last.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned throughout my career is this: real, lasting change doesn’t happen overnight or without help. The secret to success is support.

Outside of my work, I love spending time with my husband and two kids, getting lost in a good book or show, and enjoying the outdoors. I especially love birdwatching. I am a Peloton girlie too. I also love working on jigsaw puzzles, which, in many ways, reflects my approach to nutrition: taking things one piece at a time and appreciating the process.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. My background includes working in nutrition counseling and education, bariatric surgery and medical weight management care, and managing nutrition care in long-term and rehabilitation settings.
