About

Dr. Maniam is a dual board-certified Internist and Allergist/Immunologist who takes an evidence-based, personalized approach to helping patients improve their long-term health. She combines her training in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology with a strong interest in nutrition and metabolic health to help patients understand the factors influencing their health and develop strategies that are both effective and sustainable.

Dr. Maniam's training in Internal Medicine centered on the cardiometabolic conditions that shape long-term health: obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and lipid disorders. Working with those patients, she became increasingly interested in the role of inflammation and immune function in chronic disease, and pursued fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology. There she cared for patients with food allergies, food intolerances, atopic disease, and immune dysregulation. She now works at the intersection of the two, where metabolism, nutrition, and immune function meet.

Her goal is to understand each patient's unique circumstances and create a treatment plan grounded in science and delivered with compassion. She is passionate about translating complex medical science into practical guidance that empowers patients to make meaningful, lasting changes. Above all, she wants her patients to feel heard, informed, and confident in the plan they build together.

Dr. Maniam earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Boston University. She is pursuing further certification in obesity medicine, longevity medicine, and lifestyle medicine.
