About Me

As a young adult practically "living" at the gym, I vividly remember trying to adhere to diets focused on calorie counting and eliminating all fats from my meals. In my early 20s, I became obsessed with eating less, exercising more, and yet remained unhappy with my weight and overall body image. I believed wholeheartedly in the conventional model: if I burned more calories than I consumed—as long as those calories were low-fat or fat-free—I would surely lose weight. Unfortunately, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Restricting and bingeing became part of my daily routine, leaving me feeling like I lacked self-control and was destined to fail.

Everything began to shift when I became preoccupied with raising young children and no longer had the time to count calories and fat grams. My body stabilized and found its natural balance. At the time, I didn’t understand what had changed; I only knew I was no longer obsessively monitoring my food intake or spending countless hours at the gym. My body had finally found a happy place.

As a young fitness professional, it never crossed my mind that someone could look “healthy” on the outside while struggling on the inside. I assumed that participants in my classes who weren’t losing weight must have been eating too much. I also believed my persistent acne and daily bloating were simply genetic traits and a "normal" part of life. These misconceptions shaped my early understanding of health and fitness.

Everything changed when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and later epilepsy. Conventional medicine offered limited solutions and a discouraging message: “Nothing can be done.” Determined to find answers, I discovered the world of functional medicine. I quickly learned how profoundly diet and lifestyle impact our health and well-being. The nutrients in our food, along with key factors like sleep, stress management, digestion, detoxification, and overall happiness, are essential to creating and maintaining a healthy body and mind.

This journey ignited my passion for uncovering the root causes of health challenges and addressing them through personalized, science-backed strategies. At Olga’s Nutrition, my mission is to empower others by improving digestion, detoxification, and metabolism, unlocking the body’s full potential for vitality and healing. Together, we can navigate the path to optimal health and well-being.
