About
Onnie’s interest for nutrition started in high school when she was assigned a research paper on an alternative career. What she found was a world where many of her favorite things came together. Food/ cooking, science, people & how they all work together. She was amazed at how many areas of nutrition there were and knew she could never get bored with SO many choices. While her primary focus for the last 13 years has been related to Renal, her skills in motivational interviewing, general personable nature & empathetic approach allows her to navigate helping patients with a multitude of nutritional / general health concerns including kidney health, & weight loss.
Her main passion is to help people with an emphasis on partnership and empowering patients in their health journey. Since most nutritional concerns are preventable, tapping into your inner power is key for change. When you complete your time with Onnie you will have defined attainable goals with specific actionable steps to get you where you want to go. Each session will build on the next and bring you closer to your goal .
Onnie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition for Dietetics from Life University in Marrietta, GA and completed her Dietetic Internship there also.
In Onnie’s free time you can find her volunteering in the neighborhood, cooking, trying a new restaurant, spending time with family & friends, walking her rescue dog Tigger, traveling, restoring houses , thrifting, finding any excuse to dress up & enjoying a sunset.
