About
Rebecca first fell in love with nutrition as a cross country runner during her freshman year of college and has been working as a dietitian since 2005. She did both her undergraduate and graduate work at Case Western Reserve University In Cleveland, Ohio and earned her Masters of Science in Public Health Nutrition with a specialty in Maternal and Child Nutrition in 2005. After working for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program for several years, she completed a three-month neonatal nutrition fellowship through Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2010. She worked in a large Houston NICU for a year before moving home to New England to pursue a position as a pediatric and NICU dietitian at an academic medical center in Boston. Following her time in Boston, she worked in several different positions, including a small community hospital in New Hampshire, a pediatric long-term care center and as an outpatient dietitian serving patients with a variety of health and nutrition concerns. She currently works as a clinical dietitian at a large teaching hospital in Maine, while working to build a private practice with her long-time colleague and good friend, Alexandra.
A life-long animal lover, Rebecca followed a vegetarian lifestyle for over 20 years before making the switch to a whole-foods, plant-based/vegan diet. She is passionate about health, nutrition, animals and the environment.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys running, snowboarding, exploring and hiking with her dog, reading, gardening, pursuing numerous creative hobbies and trying out new vegan recipes.
