About
Rose became interested in nutrition as a collegiate athlete seeking to optimize her nutrition for athletic performance. From there she became interested in using food to improve quality of life and prevent chronic disease. Rose received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Winthrop University. She has worked in a variety of settings including in a hospital, family medicine clinic, and virtually for an app-based telehealth company. She has experience working with pediatric and adult patients with various health concerns including diabetes, heart disease, obesity and overweight, chronic kidney disease, underweight, pediatric weight management, IBS, disordered eating, and vegetarian/vegan diets. Since becoming a mother, she has become more interested in pre and postnatal nutrition as well as pediatric nutrition.
Rose uses a holistic approach to nutrition and believes food provides us with not only sustenance but also emotional and social enrichment. She works with patients to improve their relationship with food so that they are not only physically healthy but also emotionally and mentally healthy. She is a genuine, compassionate, and empathetic provider who meets her patients where they are at. She believes that each patient has within them the resources to make dietary changes but sometimes they may need a guide to provide education, encouragement, and support as they make these changes.
In her free time, Rose enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and camping, mountain biking, playing soccer, reading, and cooking.
