About Me

Samantha Cassetty, MS, RD, is a food and nutrition expert who’s passionate about helping people eat better and feel their best. Her journey toward becoming a dietitian started after college when she switched to a more plant-filled, nutrient-packed diet. The results were amazing—more energy, clearer skin, and easier weight management (though not effortless, of course!). Even better, she knew that by filling her plate with whole, nourishing foods, she was also protecting herself from chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.

That transformation sparked a fire in her to share the message with others. Now, over two decades later, she’s just as excited about empowering people with simple, delicious nutrition strategies. Whether she’s counseling or sharing advice in the media, Samantha makes it her mission to help people live healthier lives without all the stress or restriction. She believes eating well doesn’t have to be hard—it’s about finding what works for you and making it sustainable, no matter how busy life gets.

She believes all foods fit (but not all equally) and helps people eat the most inclusive diet with a focus on lowering added sugars and including more plant foods--in other words, a balanced, nutritious diet. As for what she eats, she’s a big fan of nut butter (especially crunchy peanut butter), chocolate, blueberries, and broccoli—because life is all about balance!

When she’s not helping others, you’ll likely find Samantha enjoying a walk or some culture in New York City or spending time with loved ones.

Samantha graduated with a Bachelors in Arts (psychology) from Vanderbilt University and completed her Masters in Science (clinical nutrition) at Boston University.
