About

Hello there! My name is Sara. I’m a fiercely anti-diet Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) specializing in eating disorders. I'm the dietitian for you if want to look forward to sessions, whether you need judgment-free, realistic nutrition advice or just a good yap.

My journey as a dietitian began at the intersection of nutrition and psychology, as I chose to major in both during my undergraduate career. My commitment to ongoing education and practicing with humility ensures that I provide evidence-based, personalized care to each of my clients. I have eating disorder experience at the intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care. Outside of my eating disorder specialization, I geek out on PCOS, IBS, and mood disorders.

Embracing the Health at Every Size and weight-inclusive frameworks, I am dedicated to promoting well-being without promoting weight stigma. My trauma-informed approach focuses on nourishing the body, mind, and spirit, recognizing that true health encompasses a holistic understanding of an individual and their intersectional identities. It is my goal to restore trust in the healthcare provider-client relationship, ensuring that each person feels respected and supported throughout their healing process. Every session with me is an opportunity to explore if your food and exercise behaviors truly align with your core values. I understand that every individual is unique, and I tailor my interventions to address not just nutritional needs but also the emotional and psychological aspects of eating disorders.

I am passionate about educating clients on the basic nutrition skills that we are often expected to know, but never taught in school. If you’re looking for a dietitian to build nutrition self-efficacy with through exposure work, we would be a perfect fit! I enjoy helping clients with menu planning, grocery shopping, and trying new or challenging foods together. These are all things we can do together via telehealth.

While my professional life revolves around nutrition and eating disorders, I also value the importance of balance. Outside the office, you can find me baking a new recipe, enjoying live music, strolling a trail, or reading a book with my cat, Chimichanga, by my side. I am proud to be a part of the Find Food Freedom team and look forward to working with you!
